David Teece Prize in Industrial Organisation and Firm Behaviour

The David Teece Prize will be awarded to the paper that is deemed to make the best contribution to the study of industrial organisation and/or firm behaviour.

Seamus Hogan RESEARCH Prize

The Seamus Hogan Research Prize is for the best paper on a public policy topic written by a student.

Jan Whitwell Prize

The Jan Whitwell prize is awarded for the best presentation by a student.

Stata Prize for Excellence in Graphics Communications

The Stata Prize for Excellence in Graphics Communications will be awarded to the written paper that is deemed to make the best use of graphs for data visualization or communication of research findings using graphics.

Statistics New Zealand Prize

The Statistics New Zealand Prize is awarded for the paper that makes the best use of official statistics.

New Zealand Economic Policy Prize

The New Zealand Economic Policy Prize is being offered for the first time in 2011. It will be awarded to the paper that makes the best contribution to economic policy in New Zealand.

NZIER Poster Competition

This prize is given for the best poster displayed at the annual NZAE conference.

People’s Choice Poster Prize

Delegates at the conference will have the opportunity to vote for this award.

NZAE Education Trust Graduate Study Awards

Applications are invited from students currently attending New Zealand Universities to attend the annual NZAE conference.

Other Prizes

A R BERGSTROM PRIZE IN ECONOMETRICS

The objective of the Prize is to reward the achievement of excellence in econometrics, as evidenced by a research paper in any area of econometrics. The Prize is open to New Zealand citizens or permanent residents of New Zealand who, on the closing date of applications, have current or recent (i.e. within two years) student status for a higher degree.

HONOURS DISSERTATION PRIZE

The Prize is awarded to the honours dissertation that is considered best amongst those from the Economics departments of New Zealand universities. Submissions are sought from each department before 30 November each year.
